The Schoolies week is a seven day break that high school graduates get after their final exams. This term is particularly used to describe the holiday activities in which the graduating class engages in during the week long holiday. As such the Schoolies week is a big deal in Australia as thousands of students make their way to different destinations across the country to celebrate the end of school towards the end of November and Early December annually. Some events and holiday activities are “official” whereas others are unofficial. The range of activities can go from safe fun to bizarre and most of the activities that have earned criticism are the unofficial ones. Some of the places where official organized schoolies efforts are maintained include Victoria, Surf Coast, Shire, Mornington Peninsula Shire, Bass Coast Shire along with different parts of Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia.
